When the poem calls for it, I'll post another tree. The subject "Forest Fire" to me is hot, threatening and destructive. You presented the idea of it being much more positive and, well colorful than I imaged. If I expressed that right. Thank you. I'm a writer, but also an artist, and as I read your poem today, my mind became a paint brush slipping quietly across a blank canvas, dipping into puddles of crimson and gold and brown, as tall trees took shape, their autumn colors gently moving in rhythm with the grey mist whispering around them.

Beautiful work...thank you!

MikkiMikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08371767512022913349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863862453683571009.post-52073346026149195852010-10-08T21:26:53.750-04:002010-10-08T21:26:53.750-04:00"A comfortable warm wrap on a cold December d..."A comfortable warm wrap on a cold December day." When I was a Senior in high school, I was given the opportunity to spend an exchange week with peers in Emporium PA. It was in the fall and I was totally amazed by the beauty of the trees!
Somehow, along the way in Ontario, we lost a lot of trees, evergreens and others.
Whenever I see the forested areas of New York state and Pennsylvania, I think that somebody made some great decisions to protect these resources!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17254228974989688426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863862453683571009.post-23863673047276114442010-10-07T19:05:39.338-04:002010-10-07T19:05:39.338-04:00That is absolutely gorgeous!

But the fog was so heavy and low hanging, it looked like smoke coming from the tree tops as it lifted. It set a surreal scene. Wished I could have stopped to photograph it.Across the Lake Eerilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08625145154438353074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863862453683571009.post-53239134967657070722010-10-06T23:37:33.807-04:002010-10-06T23:37:33.807-04:00Walt--like these concrete ideas!Walt--like these concrete ideas!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17254228974989688426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8863862453683571009.post-32245721865471704672010-10-06T19:19:54.415-04:002010-10-06T19:19:54.415-04:00Oh, WOW!!!
